Henry V
Henry IV is dead and Henry V is King. With England in a state of unrest, he must leave his rebellious youth behind, striving to gain the respect of his nobility and people.
The setting is inspired by our modern world, full of division and never-ending Brexit negotiations. It suddenly feels like a problem play, full of urgent questions about our nation's future in uncertain times. This production cleverly preserves Shakespeare's questioning of the symbolism of monarchy whilst investigating current British Nationalism and explores what it means to be a great leader.
