Harry Smith is a Composer and Sound Designer, based in the Cotswolds, UK, and has been writing and producing music for the last decade. He gained a following producing electronic dance music, most recently under his Demigroove alias, before venturing into music and sound for film and live theatre. After graduating from Bath Spa University in 2017 with a first-class honours in Creative Music Technology, he made his feature film debut with Hakkúndè, which has won multiple awards from film festivals around the globe, including Best Nigerian film of 2017 at the African International Film Festival. It was selected for screening at the 15th Cannes Pan African Film Festival. He has since gone on to score several short films with production company VHS and digital magazine INTO, as well as sound designing and composing for multiple productions at the Barn Theatre. He is currently composing for Shakespeare’s Macbeth, directed by Hal Chambers, for production company Reading Between The Lines, which opens Autumn 2019.
